Hi! I’m Jiyong, an account executive based in Seoul.
Perhaps I have always been a little detached from reality. As a child, I wanted to be a wizard who could fly on a broomstick, just like Harry Potter, so I would write down spells from the movies in a notebook and memorize them. Wanting to protect the world like Iron Man, I would stand in the playground wearing a helmet. Even now, I believe that the worlds and characters from movies and comic books actually exist somewhere in the vast universe. This habit of wandering through imaginary worlds has become a constant source of inspiration for me.
My dreams and ambitions have always been changing. Whenever something sparked my interest, I preferred diving in headfirst. That mindset led me to join more than ten different clubs, where I built meaningful relationships with a wide range of people and gained diverse experiences. Through those experiences, I learned teamwork and execution while developing a flexible yet broad perspective of my own.
To someone like me, advertising was fascinating. What captivated me was the idea that a message born from someone's imagination or story could resonate with another person and go on to influence the way people think and act—sometimes even changing the world. I have always wanted to be someone who can make a positive impact on others. That is why I chose advertising. Now, I strive to move people emotionally and create meaningful change through ideas of my own.
